The FMHS MLA Lead (Clinical) will join the Clinical teaching team and participate in the design, delivery and quality control of MLA focused activity in the curriculum. The role is responsible for the linking the regulatory requirements of the MLA into teaching practice, analysing gaps and supporting students MLA preparation within the school’s educational strategy. Candidates must have a Clinical degree in Medicine (MBBS/MB ChB) and a current licence to practice in the UK. They should show a commitment to developing as a medical educator across a range of subject areas (with appropriate training). In addition, candidates should have experience of setting and marking assessments of various types, with clear evidence of organisational, administrative and IT skills along with a sound understanding of quality assurance and enhancement issues, procedures and practices. Professional qualifications such as a recognised Higher Education teaching qualification or Higher Education Academy Fellowship would be advantageous.
